What are the entry requirements for Wilmslow High School Sixth Form?
To access A-Level or BTEC courses at Wilmslow High School students must achieve a minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent) with grades 4-9.
What are the entry requirements for courses at Wilmslow High School?
Where a student is seeking to study A-Level or BTEC in a subject already studied at GCSE (or equivalent), then it is necessary to have attained at least a GCSE grade 5 or a BTEC Merit in this subject.
Why do we have minimum requirements for subjects?
We want our students to be successful on the courses that they study. To be more confident of this, students should be aiming to achieve at least one grade above the minimum grade requirement outlined below. Literacy and/ or numeracy skills are also necessary on a number of courses, which explains why these courses require English language/ literature and/or mathematics grades.
