Hello (former) Y11s,

We are so happy that you have chosen A level Government and Politics.  I think that the American Politics side of the course is the most fascinating ...Mr Ingham may tell you otherwise! Who could not be fascinated by the antics of (former) President Trump? However, there are many more aspects to this course, and this Transition Work is designed with this in mind.

The more you immerse yourself in US Politics now, the more excited you will be at the prospect of studying American Politics in September. I am genuinely excited for you - especially as we will be studying it when the November 5th election takes place! You no doubt will find the early stages of the course mind boggling - I know that I did when I first was introduced to American Politics. However, remember that you are not alone, and that I am here to answer any of your questions.

TASK: Please bring your Dummies Guide with you to the first week's lesson after the summer AND make sure that you have signed up (and listened to) at least one of the US Politics podcasts.

Optional tasks - it is up to you if you do this but it will enhance your knowledge and understanding of US Politics.

All the best,

Mrs Bromley

:)
