Lesson 1 - Modelling with quadratics

Watch the video below and answer the questions from Ex 2H on page 32. Please mark your work (answers can be found on page 394) using a different coloured pen and do corrections, remembering to get help with those you cannot understand or are struggling with.  Students who achieve the highest grades in maths do lots of practice, more than that is set, and never leave questions unanswered.

Lesson 2 - Consolidation

Please try the mixed exercise which starts on page 35. Try questions 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14  and the challenge.  Answers can be found on page 349.  Again please mark your work with a different coloured pen and do corrections, seeking help for those questions you are unsure of. Good luck!

Well done to those of you who are using the drop in sessions to seek help with questions or methods that you are struggling with. There will be a drop in session today from noon- 1pm for those of you who have any queries or would like me to go over a method or question which does not have to be just from today's work. Lesson 4 - Corrections to Dr Frost sheets 1-4 and recap of chapter 1 

Please do Dr Frost corrections.  You have written feedback to all questions, unless you are behind in which case it is essential that you catch up. Please attend the drop in session if you have any queries.

Work through Mixed Exercise 1 on pages 15 - 17  1c,d, 2,b,c, 3c, 4c,d, 5c, d, 6b, c, d, e, f, 7, 8 to 24.  Please mark your work and make corrections in a different coloured pen.  Seek help with questions you cannot do.  Please submit a photo of your work on firefly.
