During Children's Mental Health Week this year, we're also showcasing Headspace - a mindfulness app that helps you to recognise when your thoughts are getting the better of you and training you to bring your focus back to the here and now. 

 

In addition, here are some self-care tips from the staff of Wilmslow Youth, who support students in the Hub. There's something here for everyone!

Counselling Support 

Just Drop-In now offer Counselling at the Undercroft (United Reform Church) at the end of Holly Road on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and have 1 male and 1 female counsellor. They have found that in the last few weeks they have had less enquiries for young people in Wilmslow so have asked us to reach out to students and parents to share this offer of support


Mental Health Week 2023

15-21 May is Mental Health Week and this year’s focus is on anxiety. See the video below for an explanation of why we feel anxiety, how it can overcome us and how to deal with it...

Visyon Mental Health Support

See below for details of open access sessions with Visyon, a local Mental Health support provider. Any young people aged 11-19 can access these (mostly phone calls lasting up to 30 minutes).

World Sleep Day 2022

World Sleep Day is an annual event which aims to celebrate sleep as well as to raise awareness about key issues around not getting enough. Sleep is vital for our wellbeing but getting it is not always as easy as it sounds! It aids concentration, gives us energy, makes us feel better, look healthier and improves academic and sporting performance.
