This summer we would like you to develop your practical skills by making dishes at home that require a high level of demand, complexity and demand.
You need to produce a practical record complete with photos of the final dishes and with the stages of making. We would like you to make at least 3 dishes that show a complex level of demand see the document in the link below what constitutes high level.

Here are some of our suggestions-
- Cake with finishing techniques (decorated flavoured sponge with homemade ganache/butter icing and finishing techniques is a complex skill)
- Pie with shortcrust pastry (Cornish pasties or own choice) with a decorative finish.
- Chicken pie with a roux sauce and rough puff pastry.
- Curry (portioned chicken)with a homemade naan
- Flatbread or homemade pitta bread with a filling e.g homemade hummus or portioned chicken
- Pavlova/ meringue to practice piping skills and finishing techniques
- Tear and share bread or Chelsea bun.
